Brian Cook's Landscape of England Jigsaw PuzzleBatsford Books
1000-piece jigsaw puzzle of an iconic landscape illustration from book designer and artist Brian Cook.
Lose yourself in the rolling hills based loosely on the headlands of Great and Little Hangman, North Devon. This inviting scene, available as a jigsaw puzzle for the first time, featured on the dust jacket of the 1933 book Landscape of England by Charles Bradley Ford. The illustration was also exhibited at the Arts Council Exhibition ‘Landscapes in Britain 1850–1950’ at the Hayward Gallery in 1983.
The box includes 1000 jigsaw pieces in a sustainable paper bag. Once completed, the jigsaw puzzle measures 70 x 50 cm.
The book jackets that Brian Cook designed for B. T. Batsford through the 1930s and 1940s are much-loved, timeless pieces of illustrative art and highly collectable. The Cathedrals of England from the same popular heritage book series is also available as a jigsaw puzzle.
