Key Account Sales Manager
£40,000 plus bonus
Location: London (Hybrid Working, Minimum 3 Days in Office)
Abrams & Chronicle Books is the UK sales arm of two prestigious US publishing houses: ABRAMS in New York and Chronicle Books in San Francisco. Based near Smithfield Market in London, we represent a wide range of award-winning books, gifts, games, and stationery. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our dynamic sales team.
As a Key Account Sales Manager, you play a crucial role in our business, responsible for nurturing and expanding our relationships with key trade accounts, including Waterstones, WHS Retail, WHS Travel and Supermarkets. You’ll work closely with the sales team and our publishers to ensure that your accounts are fully supported. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a varied, fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a proactive and successful team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and expand sales with key accounts, including Waterstones, WHS Retail, WHS Travel, and Supermarkets.
- Create and deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations across our book and gift portfolios.
- Partner with the UK & Export Sales Director to formulate and execute sales strategies for your account base
- Regularly provide feedback and insights on account performance and emerging market trends.
- Process and track orders, working closely with the Operations team to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Publicity team to deliver comprehensive support for all accounts.
- Efficiently manage marketing budgets for your designated accounts.
- Participate in internal and external meetings, including key publisher meetings.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience working with key trade accounts.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with confidence in maintaining and growing customer relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and effectively prioritise tasks.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

PR Manager
£30 - 35,000 depending on experience
Location: London (Hybrid Working, Minimum 3 Days in Office)
About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented PR Manager to join our London-based team at Abrams & Chronicle Books.
As PR Manager you will be responsible for both adult and children’s campaign management across Abrams and Chronicle Books. You will develop and implement creative publicity campaigns across all platforms, working closely and collaboratively with sales and marketing teams in the UK, and publicity and marketing teams in the US. You will be responsible for ensuring your strategy drives sales and is in sync with wider business objectives, as well as analysing and reporting on your campaign results.
Requirements:
-Current experience of a Publicity or Communications role is essential – this role would be perfect for a Press Officer or Senior PR Exec wanting to take the next step in their publicity career
-Strong communicator with good written and verbal skills
-Highly collaborative, adaptable, creative and self-motivated
-Excellent media contacts across all platforms and great networking skills
-Well-developed time management skills and a pro-active problem solver who can stay calm under pressure
-Event management experience
This role is a full-time hybrid position working at least 3 days in the office in Smithfield, London and reports to the Head of PR & Marketing.
