“Does your monster have three eyes?” “Do they have wings?” “Are they furry?” “Is your monster called Bill? YAY!” You must look closely and think smart to win this ghoulish guessing game! Grab a friend, secretly choose your monsters, then take turns asking “yes” or “no” questions to narrow down the search for each other’s characters. Whoever names their opponent’s mystery monster first is the winner.
Made for 2 players, ages 4+, this game improves observational skills, develops patience and focus, and gets kids talking. It’s also a great way to encourage screen-free play with friends.
Inside this magnetic set, you’ll find 50 counters, 25 Mystery Monster cards, 2 character frames, and English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Spanish instructions. Plus, this is the ideal game to keep kids busy when you’re out and about because the tin is the game board. Whether at a restaurant, in a waiting room, or on a long journey, your child can take the fun with them wherever they go—all they need is a spooktacular opponent!
Made using FSC materials and packaged in a reusable and recyclable tin.
AIM OF THE GAME:
Find your opponent’s mystery monster!
HOW TO PLAY:
Shuffle the Mystery Monster card deck and pick one at random—don’t let your opponent see! Use the character frame to stick your card to the gameboard so you won’t forget who you chose.
Now, you and your opponent take turns asking “yes” or “no” questions and using your counters to narrow down the search for each other’s characters. For example, if your opponent asked, “Does your monster have horns?” and you answered no, they’d then use their counters to hide all the monsters with horns on their board.
When you feel confident that you know your opponent’s mystery monster, ask, “Is your monster called _____ ?” filling in the name. If you got it wrong, then cover that monster with a token, and the game continues. If you got it right—and gave them a fright—then you win!
