Jim Curious

A Voyage to the Heart of the Sea in 3-D Vision

Jim Curious portrays the story of a young boy who goes on an adventure to the bottom of the sea in an old-fashioned diving suit. But there are no words telling his tale, only intricately illustrated images in exceptionally effective 3-D. (Two pairs of the traditional red & blue 3-D glasses are included in an envelope in the back of the book.) On his journey, Jim initially passes the detritus tossed into the waters by land-dwellers, but soon he goes deeper and deeper, immersing himself in the wonders of the waters. (At the very end, there’s a double gatefold that includes chart-of-sorts of all the marine wildlife he encounters.)

Reviews
Jim Curious perfectly captures the essence of childhood wonderment. Despite our sensibilities we still find ourselves reaching out to touch the pages, in the hopes of defying the illusion. Children and adults alike will adore this book for the fantastical adventure it takes you on, the detail rich illustrations and, of course, its playful manipulation of perceived reality. Here is a book youll want to share, and with the inclusion of two sets of 3D glasses, it couldnt be easier. The Illustrated Forest
